Our Vision
At Chopin Foundation of the US, we envision a world where music is a universal language that brings people together. Our goal is to create a platform that allows people from all over the world to discover and enjoy Chopin piano music. For over 50 years, Lady Blanka Rosenstiel supports young American pianists and the music of Fryderyk Chopin
Our History
As the Virginia Chapter of the Chopin Foundation of the US, Cindy and Robert Joskowiak, have been promoting Chopin music for almost 20 years. The purpose is to bring some of the best and up and coming artists to perform in Piedmont, Central Virginia. We have hosted world class pianists like: Ingolf Wunder, Jacek Kortus, Ning An, Eduard Kunz, Claire Huangci and Magdalena Stern-Baczewska. We also hosted Maestro Mariusz Patyra, violin, the Winner of First Prize at "Premio Paganini". An amazing list of world's top artists that performed in our rural community!
Our Community
We believe that music is not just about listening, but also about sharing and connecting with others. The salon setting at Barboursville Vineyards is conducive to experience music of Chopin in a unique, intimate setting as envisioned by the Composer. We have been trying to bring young audience in order to popularize Chopin's music among families and children. They young generation is after all our future! Please contribute to Chopin Foundation knowing that money is used for scholarships to young American piansists!
